Japanese Fan

A few friends of mine went to Japan recently on a mission trip. One of them brought me back this lovely blue fan.

The Red River Gorge

On spring break, I went to the Red River Gorge and Daniel Boone National Park. I had a marvelous time! The views were beautiful; my camera and I were quite content.

These stairs descended into a little place called Fat Man's Squeeze, which is a fancy name for a crack between the Natural Bridge and another rock. The day was very warm, but when we walked through the crack, the air felt like a cave, very cold and damp. It was a tight squeeze for one of the travellers who wore her backpacking backpack.

The speed limit inside the National Park was 23 mph in some places. My question is why 23?

Birds in the Snow

Here in Louisville, KY we received almost a foot of snow! We spent time making snow forts, having snowball fights, and (of course!) building a snowman. I enjoyed getting a chance to stay home and have fun with my family, but I also enjoyed taking pictures of the birds that kept coming near my window to eat from the feeder there.
